Job Summary:
The Chef at Mightypower Facilities Management is responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet the diverse tastes and dietary needs of clients. This role involves planning menus, cooking, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen during events or other projects.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare meals in line with client preferences and dietary requirements.
- Ensure that all food is presented attractively and in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times.
- Manage inventory, place orders for kitchen supplies, and monitor stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen assistants when necessary.
- Minimise waste and manage kitchen budgets efficiently.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and introduce new dishes or menus as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef in a professional setting.
- Culinary certification or relevant training is preferred.
- Knowledge of various cuisines and food preparation techniques.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
